Description

Morphology

We find ourselves before an impressive overhang or visor where the river has excavated the weaker stratum beneath the rock, producing this curious cavity, at whose head there is a plunge pool normally full of water.

In this area, the rock shelter is 6 to 7 metres deep with a height of 0.9 metres.

Hydrology

At the head of the cavity there is a plunge pool normally full of water.

Progression

To access the cavity, we will go down the slide in the middle of the torrent bed and reach the plunge pool. From here we find cave to the right and left; on the right we can advance through the water for about 6 metres to the wall. This first flooded part is about 10 metres long; coming out of the water, and always on the right, the rock shelter continues for 25 metres more, forming an impressive visor over the torrent. If we return to the beginning and take the rock shelter on the right, we can continue for about 11 metres, to a rock; between the wall and the rock, an ascending passage of about 4 metres takes us out of the rock shelter.
