Location

In the area of the Parc Eòlic de les Colladetes, at the head of the barranc de Coma Novell.

At km 4.5 of the TV-3022 road, from el Perelló to Rasquera, a track leaves to the right and enters the wind farm. You must always follow it in a NE direction, alongside the wind turbines. When the track approaches the head of the barranc de Coma Novell, a fork appears on the right where there are no mills on the first stretch. The pit is located between the two torrents that form the head of the aforementioned barranc and barely 200 metres to the NW of the Avenc de l'Arrel.

Description

Morphology

Small pit 10 m deep. Via a small shaft-ramp you come out into a room with a flat ceiling and covered in blocks. Below them and in different short diverticula you reach the point of maximum depth (-9.8 m).

History

The only references we have are those provided by the SIE – CEA, who explored it in September 1983.

It is very possible that it is the same pit that members of the SES Puigmal (Barcelona) explored in January 1961, naming it Avenc dels Quatre Pins and giving it a depth of 15 metres.

It should be noted that it must not be confused with another pit in the same area that the SIE members named Avenc dels Quatre Pins.
