Characteristics

Location

From the Coll de Pal we will follow the road towards Alp; before reaching the first kilometre, a track on the left takes us towards a large livestock shed (Pleta de Comabella). Once at the shed we will climb westwards up a steep scree slope until we reach the first outcrops of limestone rock where we will find the cavity.

Description

Morphology

A small ramp takes us to the only shaft of this cavity; its drop is easily accessible with the help of a rope. On the west side of the base, a parallel gallery with two opposing ramps places us at the deepest part of the cavity, which remains blocked but with possibilities of continuation.

Progression

In 2021 digging work was carried out, making it possible to descend a few metres further.

In July 2023 snow was completely absent throughout the cavity.

History

Explored and surveyed for the first time in 1970 by members of the Agrupació Científico Excursionista de Mataró.

Around 1980 it is visited and surveyed again by members of the SIE Poblet (Barcelona).

It is not until 2010 that it receives a visit from members of the GE Badalona who carry out cataloguing work.

Around 2021 it is located by Jordi Francès and Benjamí Grañena (ECMB) who carry out digging work, managing to deepen it by a few metres. With their information, members of the Espeleodijous visit it again in July 2023.

At the end of June 2024 members of the GE Badalona visit the cavity again and carry out a new survey, more complete and comprehensible, including a sketch of the area dug in 2021.
