Aven Noir

The cavity opens in a long, narrow lapiaz oriented west/east. a shallow rectangular entrance (0.6 m x 0.5 m) leads into a fine cylindrical vadose conduit 1 meter in diameter, whose beginning is lost in the scree and whose end is plugged by calcited clayey fill. a regular, calcited shaft-ledge cuts across it perpendicularly. At the bottom, a zigzag squeeze gives access to a short meander, first narrow, then increasingly high and wide. One then arrives at a concretion-covered crossroads. On the right, a short, wide slide leads to a chamber behind a porch. On the left, the gallery continues high and regular, then after arriving high up it forks left and takes on a slope. It turns right and then becomes perfectly flat and very regular to end at a plugged squeeze, the end of the cavity.

No equipment is needed in this cavity, which is more akin to a cave. a few metal holds have been placed in the shaft-ledge.
