Description
Morphology
The entrance of the Aven consists of a small meander about 1 m wide, entirely cleared. After a short downclimb of 3 metres, one reaches a small ledge at the head of a fault. At the bottom of the pit, the narrow meander tightens into an impassable squeeze.
Progression
From the small ledge at the head of the fault, one reaches a narrow pit 20 m deep. At the bottom of this pit, the narrow meander tightens into an impassable squeeze from which a very violent draught emerges. In summer, this hole draws air violently, whereas the draught reverses in winter.
