Description
Morphology
The chamber measures 45 metres long by 18 metres wide; its floor is flat and earthy, and prehistoric excavation test pits can be seen there. The scree slope directly beneath the shaft has visibly been reworked by humans; very flattened, it is truly disproportionate to the absorbing mouth that feeds it.
Progression
Vertical enthusiasts will choose the descent of the vast empty shaft, while walkers can easily reach the bottom of this same shaft via the entrance de la Fabre Guilhem. To do so, visitors will have passed through a very stony lower section (remains of walls) and crossed a vast chamber with a flat, earthy floor (prehistoric excavation test pits).
Other details
Simple walkers and cavers alike can visit this cavity, each in their favourite way. The chamber is lit by light easily penetrating through the aven; plays of light, semi-darkness and vegetation compose a beautiful spectacle there.
