Aven de la Peur

The entrance shaft (P 14) is a uniform tube with a 2 x 2 cross-section that opens onto an S.S0.-N.NE. corridor whose floor is littered with scree. At the bottom, a large chamber is revealed (L 15, I = 4, h = 5). Further on, a climb up a clay bank and a low passage lead to a vast ascending corridor (L = 40, 1 = 6, h = 6), formed along a diaclase nord (north-south joint).

Southwest of the large chamber, a second, well-decorated chamber leads to elevation -62.

At the bottom of the chamber reached via the 6-metre step and the clayey scree (lowest point of the cave, -68), a slight flow can be observed in a fault to the southeast (presence of mud).

Following the corridor in the S-S.W. direction leads into a chamber. At the bottom of it, a succession of muddy narrows leads to the P 20. At the bottom, two options are offered: to the southwest, a second, well-decorated chamber leads to elevation -62; to the northeast, a 6-metre step followed by clayey scree allows one to reach the bottom of a chamber (lowest point of the cave, -68). Further on, a climb up a clay bank and a low passage lead to a vast ascending corridor, stopping at a scree cone at elevation -45.
