Aven de la Coume del Four

A narrow rectangular window 1 x 0.50 m opening flush with the ground gives directly onto a P 15 broken by two ledges, the one at -4, the other at -7 m. The descent of this shaft leads to a col. To the right, a fine shaft entrance is quickly blocked by large blocks. To the left, a short inclined plane leads to a high chamber formed by the arrival of an annex shaft. South of this chamber, a narrow joint, miraculously preserved from clogging, gives access to a pretty P 10 (puits des Fakirs) whose entrance, perfectly cylindrical, cut on a bench, quickly widens into a fine joint bristling with strong corrosion blades. The bottom of this shaft, particularly tormented, at first appears totally blocked; it is 2 m from the bottom, on an inclined bench, that the continuation must be sought.

A narrow passage and a series of three steps, with a respective drop of 2, 3 and 6 metres, lead to the low point of the cavity, at elevation -37 m.
