A pit where an entrance squeeze leads to a fine P27, with a small chamber containing snake bones and a fault mirror in fossiliferous limestone.
Description
Morphology
After a fairly easy entrance squeeze, a fine P27 opens up, full of void, widening rapidly, with a cross-section at the base of 4 m x 6 m. On the other side of the shaft, a well-marked fault mirror (scaly rock) in very fossiliferous and very corroded white limestone leads to a P 8. The bottom of the pit is blocked by boulders.
Hydrology
The small chamber shows traces of seepage.
Progression
After the entrance squeeze, you descend the P27. Below the shaft, after a crawling passage, you reach a small chamber (snake bones). On the other side of the shaft, the fault mirror leads to a P 8 that is negotiated by downclimbing.
Other details
The small chamber contains snake bones. Note the abundant presence of CO2 at the bottom of the pit.
