Description
Morphology
The cavity's opening is a funnel 4 metres in diameter. It is quickly continued by a narrow neck about ten metres long. This neck opens at the top of a much vaster shaft. A ledge marks the start of the work zone. It is still possible to descend about 3 metres, down to the plug of clay and stone. A small opening, at ground level, reveals a small alcove with no continuation.
The shaft as a whole is fairly vast and appears to be formed by the intersection of two shafts.
Hydrology
A water inflow, slightly active in winter and spring, feeds a small pool.
Progression
Exploration remains fairly easy and offers a pleasant first approach to vertical work underground. Care should nevertheless be taken regarding the presence of CO2, sometimes quite noticeable at the bottom of the pit.
