Esplugues de la Perdiu

Balma in the torrent de la Perdiu (Odèn). From the village of Canalda, we will head to cal Prat, which is on the right-hand side of the path that climbs from Canalda to the L-401 road. From cal Prat we continue along the path that passes through a magnificent oak grove and descends towards the riera de Canalda. We will cross it as best we can, depending on the water flow coming down, then we will climb back up to the ridge of the opposite slope. At the crossroads we will continue straight ahead, gently leveling out, changing slope and entering the torrent de la Perdiu. Little by little, ahead of us we can begin to see the caves below the great wall where the via ferrata Puig Arnau de Calanda is located.
