We will set out from Monistrol de Calders heading E along the track that passes by the house of Saladic and the molí d'en Sala, today a rural residence. We will leave the mill behind and continue along the track that passes above the weir. The path continues to the farmhouse of Rubió; we will pass it and continue along the track until the path crosses the Sant Joan torrent again. At this point we will find the Bauma de la Riera de Sant Joan.

The rock shelter has maximum dimensions of 49 metres in length by 9 metres in depth and 6 metres in height.

Near this rock shelter there is another one of smaller dimensions.

История

It is unknown whether it has a specific name. In October 2018 it is visited by members of the GE Badalona, who carry out the cataloguing work and name it after the stream where it is located.
