Trou de Jules

After a few steps, one reaches the top of a shaft 31 metres deep, at the bottom of which a gallery heading north disappears into scree. To the south, after a widening, a gallery leads to a shaft about 10 metres deep, after having left on the right a chamber extending 8 metres below. At the bottom of this shaft, one stands in a medium-sized chamber continuing to the east after a 5-metre climb, through a network to be dug open. To the west starts an inclined shaft, which gradually becomes vertical to reach -129 m. At the top of this shaft, a fossil network intersects it and appears to join it lower down. At -129, the shaft widens.

In the meander flows a small stream coming from the shaft.

From -129 to -148, one goes around the base of the shaft while losing altitude. From -148 to -157, a step requires equipment. The continuation is through a tortuous meander where progression is quickly stopped by the narrowness of the passage.

The walls of the second shaft are entirely covered with ice.

Perspective: a continuation is possible after digging open at -55.5, through the Louis shaft.
