The entrance was cleared of obstructions and opens onto a narrow crawlway for several metres. A P11 follows. A low passage continues after it, and after a squeeze opening onto the Betsy shaft, the vertical sections follow one another down to -221 m.

The passage du Fou Joyeux was cleared of obstructions and already gives a glimpse of the méandre des Rates Pénates. A P10 gives access to this meander. The gallery becomes spacious and we arrive at a crossroads. The salle Maga is on the left. Continuing straight ahead, one can reach the galerie des Diplodocus.

The cavity is sensitive to rain (watered shafts and the méandre des Rates Pénates is not passable in flood).

Progression is not easy, some passages are narrow and may require removing harnesses. 5 steps are to be rigged in the meander. Shortly after the P9 and before exiting the meander, take left at mid-height, do not follow the water. There is marking tape that theoretically closes the meander. A handline is fixed to access the salle Maga. At the base of the room, a fluorescent marking can be seen: it is the access to the galerie des Excités via a small climb.
