Descrizione
Morfologia
The entrance, relatively narrow, gives access to a passage that drops for a few metres after a severe squeeze. The bottom consists of a low chamber.
Idrologia
Between February 2005 and January 2006, Anne Guyomard carried out a study and dye tracings that showed that the waters collected in the vallon des Mémises resurge at the Boeule and at other nearby springs. The dye was injected in the trou du réservoir. This led to the publication of the article in English “Structural and hydrogeologic study of Mémises Massif western part and its relationships with the quaternary detrical complex of Evian”.
There are two water inlets, one of which would need to be climbed. The water is lost in narrow conduits that it would be possible to clear. The bottom is very muddy; deposits remain that stain clothing following a rhodamine tracing that emerged at the Boeule four days later.
