A 10-metre pit beside the edge of the wood and the open ground of geodetic point 71405, following a W-E joint, with an elliptical shaft at the contact between dolomitic and sandy limestones.
Descrizione
Morfologia
The entrance follows the joint, with an elliptical shaft down to 6 metres depth and a width ranging from 1.2x2.3 metres at its upper part to 2.5x4 metres at its base. One metre above the base of the shaft there is a contact of materials 10 cm thick with a 5º dip, between the smooth grey dolomitic limestones at its top and the yellowish sandy limestones at its base, with abundant cherts and clay. The pit reaches a depth of 10 metres.
Concrezioni
On its left-hand side, continuing along the joint towards the W, a small meandering shaft develops with concretions and flowstone on its walls.
Progressione
At its bottom small blocks and sand choke the passage, and one metre above the base a narrow window opens which, after one metre of development, finally closes.
Altri dettagli
At its bottom there are abundant remains of materials used by shepherds to close the entrance and prevent livestock from falling in, given the proximity to the open ground of grassy pasture.
