It was descended in 1955 by the Príncipe de Viana group, which abandoned it at 60 m because of a narrow passage. Later, various exploration efforts by caving groups (Centre Routier Spéléo de Bruselas and S.C. Gascogne de Francia) reached the terminal sump at -350 m.
