A large snowfield remains at the base of the 8-metre entrance shaft. This snowfield turns into a subterranean glacier as one descends. A series of small shafts and snow- and ice-clogged slides leads into a circular chamber 10 metres in diameter with a very fine (and very slippery) ice floor (-62 m). A short steep gallery follows. A 3-metre step cuts across a small horizontal forced conduit two metres in diameter. Upstream it is quickly sealed by clay. Downstream, the forced conduit is cut at -66 m by a meander. The cave splits into two distinct networks.

A) The Grand Puits network: one can continue in the forced conduit, which emerges 25 metres further on (after a short crawl) into a shaft of good dimensions (10 m x 4 m). The conduit continues opposite the shaft and was reached after a very technical climb; unfortunately, a few metres further on it turns very strangely into an ascending meander, increasingly narrow. Progress is stopped 30 metres further on by an ascending boulder choke through which a draught filters. The bottom of the 27-metre shaft, cluttered with blocks, continues via a R3 into a very unstable meander. After 40 metres, a P16 is sealed at its base (-126 m). Shortly before, an unstable squeeze that has been dug open allows one to reach the 1988 meander.

In the short steep gallery, ice survives only as small helictites on the walls.
