Legaroz

The entrance is vertical, 50 m, and leads to a slope of stones and then to a new vertical of 45 m. The pit has a depth of 95 m and becomes the deepest in the Sierra de Illón (Navascues).

During the I.P.V. exploration by Isaac Santesteban in 1976 it was agreed that, as the only solution, those going down must carry special protection against stones, and an attempt is made to build a platform like a trench for the fall in the 1st vertical, which protects the equipment and whoever descends the second; it is necessary that one person first descends with their cage on their back and the material for the protection will come afterwards, to then descend another two people with their corresponding cages.

Using some timbers carried down on his back, plus the corresponding planks, and acting as a carpenter, he manages to build the protection; immediately by radio he asks for the rest to be sent to him to complete the protection, beginning the rain of projectiles, some of which manage to inaugurate the cage with complete success; there is no protection other than curling up like a ball and getting among the timbers.
