From Pamplona to Lumbier, via Urroz, one reaches the Urraul Alto valley. From the village of Ayechu a track sets off and climbs to the montes de Areta, leaving on the right a turn-off that leads to Larraún and later another towards Izal. After passing over the Borrokosko ridge, another turn-off to the right heads to the alto de Remendia, but one always keeps to the left. One descends to the puerto de Areta and leaves the vehicle at the point next to the marker of de la cañada: X- 646796 Y- 4747.598 Z-1142. The entrance of the cavity is 250 m away, at the bottom of a faintly marked doline.
