Morfologia
L’igue de Puech Youle has a rectangular opening of 4m x 6m. It is a double pit dug into the jointed slabs of the Bathonian.
Idrologia
At the bottom of the double pit flows a stream. Since 1899, the following theory has been put forward: the spring of the stream at the bottom of the igue would be “Cunhac”, located about 3 kilometres from the igue, under the same limestone plateau and which flows into the Lot river at the “saut de la Mounine”.

Until 2000, before the first depollution campaign, any dye tracing was impossible to carry out because the plug appeared too large.
