Descrizione
Morfologia
Two entrances give access to this cave (three for foxes). A first one, 10 m long and 5 wide, opens onto a modest-sized crawlway that leads to the other entrance at the top of a scree slope. The gallery continues always along the same SE-NW axis. After about a hundred metres, past a squeeze, one comes up against a scree slope. The presence of frozen ground in winter suggests that the surface is not very far away.
Concrezioni
The walls are adorned with beautiful speleothems.
Idrologia
A weak current of water crosses this gallery when it rains, to disappear into a sinkhole located beneath the scree of the second entrance.

grotte du lac Bertrand develops in the Upper Bathonian (breccias and limestones). It is a very old network older than the dry valleys that cut it up. It lies in line with the grotte de Roc Gros. Its spring is undetermined: Crégols or Chartreux. No continuation can reasonably be envisaged.
