Descrizione
Morfologia
a pretty, perfectly semicircular porch, 2.50 metres wide and 2 metres high. a gently sloping descending Gallery, earth then gravel, 4 metres long by 2 metres wide and 1.50 metres high. Then the vault lowers; the steeper slope is made of pebbles, width 1 metre, height 0.40 metre. At -1.50, a left turn into a crawlway widened by blasting a block, opening into a small, vaguely ovoid chamber 4 m x 3.5 m, 2 metres high at the centre. Facing the arrival point, the start of a narrow tube (diameter 0.50 m), widening to 1 metre, then a new impassable constriction. a slight draught of air.
Idrologia
Temporary exsurgence during very heavy rain. During the floods of March 1974 and again in May 1977, the stream flowing out of the cave was so strong that it washed away part of the roadway. Origin unknown.
