Grotte des Combrières

The cavity begins with a winding corridor, with several narrowings without real difficulty, which leads into a very vast gallery. About thirty metres to the South, it ends at an outlet of a small stream. To the North, the great gallery continues (average section 15m x 5m) over a calcified floor with little clay. After 100 metres, the gallery turns to the West, decreasing in volume. It divides into 2 branches that are rapidly obstructed (one of them by a calcite dome).

One of the two terminal branches is rapidly obstructed by a calcite dome.

About thirty metres to the South, the cavity ends at an outlet of a small stream. This stream rises to the North and disappears into a small side gallery, quickly impassable.

Attempts at clearing have taken place at the exit of the corridor and towards the calcite dome.
