Following rockfalls, a municipal decree of 03/07/2024 bans all pedestrian traffic on the access path to the lower entrance of the cavity. Until further notice, it is no longer possible to descend again by the traditional path. One must therefore descend again on the left after a descent of about thirty metres down the steep slope to find a narrow path along a small west-facing cliff. One then intersects a path that leads directly back to the upper entrance. No more shuttle.

Within the framework of an access and management agreement for a bat roost signed by the municipality of Matafelon-Granges, the CDS 01, the LPO RA, and the SMISA as N2000 operator, it is strongly recommended to carry out speleological activity outside the sensitive period of hibernation and transit of chiropterans. The recommended period for carrying out the activity is from 1 April to 15 October.
