Descrizione
Morfologia
The entrance porch leads to a low crawlway about twenty metres long. It is followed by a comfortable Gallery (2 x 2 m), pierced 30 m further on by a 3 m step down that is descended without difficulty. A diaclase about forty metres long leads to the "Salle des Promeneurs".
A clayey Gallery traversed by a temporary stream follows for 125 m, up to a collapse that must be climbed and then descended for 3 m; this is "l'Escarpement". The slimmest can pass the obstacle by slipping underneath, getting a little wet. The "Salle aux Vasques", located 30 m further on, forms a crossroads.
Descending to the bottom of the meander (2 m step), one reaches 25 m further on a 4 m step, quickly followed by a 13 m shaft that gives access to the "Salle du Lac".
By taking the Upper Gallery (Galerie de la Fenêtre) along a traverse above the meander (risk of slipping), one reaches a 4 m step followed by a 5 m traverse that opens onto a small sloping clayey room. A 25 m Gallery, very steep and slippery, then emerges at the top of a 13 m vertical drop that joins the "Salle du Lac".
Idrologia
One can set foot in the "Salle du Lac" only at low water. In the rainy season the lake can be several metres deep.
