CP43

The gallery divides about ten metres after the entrance.

The right-hand branch is a meander that rises along the bedding plane. The left-hand branch also rises towards the north-west. In the left wall opens a P21, a blind pit blocked at -14 m; on the other side of the pit, a very short gallery emerges on the cliff face next to the CP43 entrance. The gallery continues to rise towards the north-west up to a widening. In the bedding plane on the left, a window gives onto a parallel meander. The upstream end of this meander leads to the narrow entrance of CP43b; at this entrance, a bedding plane is ventilated but impenetrable both upstream and downstream. The downstream end of the meander leads, after a loose constriction, to a first blind pit that is free-climbed down and then, through a window, to the P21 seen previously.

In the right-hand branch, we stopped at a constriction caused by a few blocks to be moved at +22 m; a draught blows and it would be possible to continue by taking the time to remove the obstructing blocks. A small upward-flowing, non-ventilated and unexplored conduit starts at the ceiling of the widening.
