Caratteristiche

Località

Via the BP-1417 road (carretera de l'Arrabassada), between kilometres 10 and 11, turn right coming from Barcelona and left from Sant Cugat del Vallès. Continue along the Rambla de Can Bell until reaching a junction on the right, where there is a post with various signs among which the neolithic cave appears; continue along the track on the right, going downhill, until reaching the first bend to the right; at this point turn left, following the base of the small cliff on our left until finding the entrance. It is currently quite overgrown, as well as having a lot of prophylactic litter with few hygienic guarantees. Approximate coordinates.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The cave entrance is 1x0.50 metres and is at ground level. On the right another much smaller hole can be seen, which also gives access to the cavity. The first stretch of gallery has a length of 7 metres and a height of little more than one metre. At the end of the passage it is necessary to get through a fairly narrow squeeze that leads to a gallery of little more than 6 metres until reaching a chimney that allows one to stand upright; the gallery continues but narrows considerably. Right at the foot of the chimney a short passage begins that becomes impassable at 3 metres.

Storia

Although it seems to have been known and visited since the 60s, the first reference to the cavity is provided by Xavier Badiella and Montserrat Balasch of the SIS of the CET, who explored it on 14 February 1988.
