A wide, shallow rock shelter in Cervià de les Garrigues, known since time immemorial and catalogued by the ECM Barcelonès in October 2019.

Caratteristiche

Località

From the N end of Cervià de les Garrigues we will take the path from Cervià to l'Albagés, which runs parallel to the riu de Set. After travelling about 3.3 km we will turn right onto a track. We will soon leave on the right the path leading to the ermita de Santa Maria de les Besses and continue 2800 m until the track is cut off by the collapse of a bridge.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Rock shelter 22 m wide, 3 m deep and a height of just over 1 m on the right-hand part, with an upward slope.

Progressione

Here we will continue along a track that crosses the riu de Set (not accessible by vehicle). We will soon take a path on the right, well marked and parallel to the riu de Set. At 150 m we will find a track on the left, on a steep climb, at the end of which we will find the cave, heavily hidden by vegetation.

Storia

Known since time immemorial. Catalogued by members of the ECM Barcelonès in October 2019.
