Descrizione
Morfologia
Cavity rigidly oriented E-W, formed by a fracture that follows the outer cliff.
Of the 112 metres of surveyed passage, 55 are aerial and 57 subterranean.
Progressione
Entering through the West mouth we find the aerial part, we will continue for about 30 metres until we have to overcome a narrow passage, after which we find on our right a narrow gallery that, after covering 28 metres, exits to the outside through an impassable passage. 5 metres after the narrow passage, an accumulation of blocks prevents us from continuing. The most practical thing is to turn back and exit until we find the path, and, following it, reach the East entrance.
Through this entrance, we access via an alley between cliffs partly occupied by blocks that leads to a small chamber. Through a low narrow passage we access the only gallery, 15 metres long, with a low ceiling to the S but which gains height towards the N, with some communication with the outside through the ceiling. At the end it is obstructed by large blocks, which can be climbed with some difficulty to go back down (a rope would be needed) and reach the final part described above.
Storia
Known since time immemorial.
According to a legend, during the Carlist wars a man hid in this place and from time to time he came out and, from on top of these rocks, he would start shouting: "Gent de Vilanova, tinguin fe, que la guerra acabarà". And from then on they called him l'Home Fe.
The only data available are those of the exploration carried out by members of GE Badalona and EC Gràcia over two days in June and July 2013.
Although it is a cavity of modest passage and drop, it is the largest cavity in the comarca of les Garrigues, very little known speleologically.
