Località

In the Ca n'Armengol residential development, we will follow Carrer Federico García Lorca to the end, where the water tanks are located. From these we will follow a small path that descends toward the S for 130 metres; at this point we will head toward the W, where after 15 metres we will find the small entrance of the cavity. Currently the cave entrance is protected by a grille to prevent looting of the archaeological site. Approximate coordinates.

Descrizione

Morfologia

It is a small passage just over 3 metres long with a drop of 1.5 metres; the base forms a small chamber. There is a perpendicular fissure but it is impassable.

Storia

Known since time immemorial by the residents of Corbera de Llobregat, on 24 August 2004, members of SAC-Secció Espeleo, while trying to clear the final part of the cave, discovered the existence of human remains. Once the find was reported, the different administrations with competences in the matter intervened and, after a preliminary excavation, they ended up placing a grille there in order to prevent looting. 100 metres from this cave is the cova de la Guineu, of similar characteristics, where archaeological remains have also been found.
