A rock shelter in the Granadella, 52 metres wide, 10 metres deep and 8 metres high at the entrance, with a dry-stone construction inside.

Caratteristiche

Località

Leaving the Granadella along the C-242 road towards Bellaguarda, after kilometre 13, we find a track on the right which we follow, we pass near a large pond, we leave paths on either side and when we have gone 2.3 Qm we find a crossroads, we continue along the branch to the right until it ends in a field. We continue in a W direction for about 300 metres. The rock shelter is below the cliff and it will be necessary to find the best path to reach it.

Morfologia

Rock shelter 52 metres wide, 10 metres deep and 8 metres high at the entrance.

Altri dettagli

Inside there is a dry-stone construction with a ground floor and an upper floor, and beside it some walls that delimit a space, possibly initially used as a corral; it is thought that it was later used as a refuge, since the ceiling is blackened and the floor is levelled.
