Caratteristiche

Località

By the road between Alzina and Beniure, at the height of La Masia we will turn left onto a track that we will follow for 950 metres until reaching the Moror to Sant Esteve de la Sarga track. We must follow this track in a W direction for 85 metres and turn off to the left onto a track that we will follow for 405 metres; at this point we will leave the track and descend towards the barranc de Sant Esteve, leaving an old corral on the left. (This path was repaired in 2016 by the people of the Camp de Treball d'Ipcena). After 12 minutes of walking we follow a fork to the right towards the balma Beguriana that we see ahead of us; 5 minutes later we reach the Balmes Begurianes, located on the right, where there is a narrow one at a considerable height with some tools placed there by our ancestors. We go to the larger cave on the left, which is the cova Beguriana.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Once we reach the cave entrance we find a wide passage about 7 metres long.

Idrologia

At the final part of the passage we find a fairly damp area with water runoff.

Progressione

Once at the base of the rock wall where the cave opens, we find the difficulty of accessing it; there are some old steps cut into the rock, but currently two sections of chain, about 15 metres in total, are equipped that allow climbing up safely; these chains were put in place in 2016.

Altri dettagli

No survey is available.

Storia

It seems that very long ago they were known and used, since the steps cut into the rock to access the cave were made by human hand, as was the nearby balma where wooden tools are observed placed at great height.

In 2016 Joan Ramon Segura and Paulino Grau (CEL) installed 15 metres of chains to facilitate access to the cave.
