Caratteristiche

Località

From the road to Sant Llorenç Savall (B-124), shortly after km. 17 and just before crossing the Roca bridge, the track that runs through the Vall Horta leaves to the left. Shortly before reaching the Marquet de la Roca (Marquet de les Roques, according to the ICC), an old forest track (closed) leaves on the left, which we must follow until shortly afterwards another track is found on the right, along which we must continue. We will follow it to a large double bend and after about 200 metres more, on the left, above the track, a path leaves that in a little more than 20 metres takes us to the cave.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The 4 x 5 metre entrance gives way to a steep slope that leads us to the final chamber, 5 metres wide by 9 long, with a height that ranges between 2 and 1 metre. At different points in the chamber some almost impassable side passages can be observed.

Cavity seated on an N38O-S38E joint and opened to the outside by collapse of the roof. The collapse debris is what has caused the entrance slope.

Concrezioni

In some corners small flowstone and stalactites can be observed.

Storia

The oldest exploration of which we have record is the one carried out in December 1954 by members of the GES – CMB, possibly accompanied by Gabriel Dalmau, from the nearby mas de les Oliveres. At that same time, the same Dalmau accompanied his cousin Anisi Rius Dalmau (SES – CE Puigmal), who made the survey of the cavity, unpublished until now.
