Caratteristiche

Località

We will set out from the farmhouse of Saladic, at the end of the Saladic road in the urban centre of Monistrol de Calders. We will follow the track that, going up the ravine, heads towards the Clusella for about 4.3Km. From the track, to the North of the Clusella and close to the Bassa de la Clusella, a path sets off which we will go up in a Westerly direction for about 700m; at this point, already close to reaching the upper firebreak, we will descend cross-country to the base of a small cliff where the entrance of the cavity is found.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The entrance of the cavity, located at the very base of the cliff, gives access by means of a small step to the first chamber. At its northern end there is a tall fissure that rises above the level of the entrance and reaches the highest point of the cavity; below the fissure and behind some large blocks, the cavity descends to the second chamber on a steep slope and with a low ceiling. The continuity will follow in the same northerly direction, descending along a gallery that temporarily limits its dimensions, to then reach the final stretch of gallery, of little slope, generous dimensions and high ceilings.

Concrezioni

The gallery that temporarily limits its dimensions has, in its upper part, some limestone formations.

Altri dettagli

Cavity known and used in the past, as testified by the steps cut into the rock and some old planks found in its lower stretch.
