Descrizione
Morfologia
The pit consists of a not very wide fissure running NE-SW and from the entrance mouth it drops vertically 11 m where it remains closed. The SW side of the fissure is very narrow and does not allow passage, but by rigging a handline from practically the mouth of the cavity one can access the upper part of the impassable section and descend to 15.6 m depth where it finally closes.
Storia
Despite being referenced in the latest editions of the Editorial Alpina map, there was no news of this small pit and we also do not know whether there had been any previous exploration, although we have found no indication of it.
On 2 May 2021 a team made up of Josep Guarro, Joan C. Juderias and Jordi Perera, accompanied by Salvador Codina, from Solsona, explore the cavity and carry out the cataloguing work.
Addendum: Just as the record had been posted, Marc RC makes a comment from Facebook saying that he had been to the pit in 2018. Josep Guarro contacts him and he explains that, indeed, following the reference from the Editorial Alpina map and talking with people from the Vall who knew it, he went on 5 August 2018 to look for it and that after many wanderings around the area, when he was about to turn back he stumbled upon it. Two days later, on 7 August 2018, he, Marc Estrada and Íngrid Solé (both from Sant Llorenç de Morunys) explore the cavity making all the rigging in natural. A month later he posts some photos on his Instagram account.
Note biospeleologiche
Inside they already found an old sickle and the skeleton of a wild boar (senglar) piglet.
