A 36 m deep pit in the Serra de Busa, with a single 35 m deep shaft and a small lateral pit reaching -36.5 m.

Shortly after passing Km. 19 of the road from Berga to Sant Llorenç de Morunys (LV 4241a) is the pont de Can Espingard. On the right is the turnoff leading to Llinars and just past the bridge, on the left, there is a track leading to Can Valielles de Busa. From here you must follow the torrent of the Rasa de Valielles and climb up to the ridge visible to the south (perhaps from Vilamala access may be easier). Once on the ridge you must go to elevation 1245 (Pedra Blanca) and follow the ridge in a NE direction. About 200 metres away there is a col with an oak (data from 1978) clearly visible from Can Valielles. A few metres below it, on the slope of the Canal de Sant Pere de Grau d'Escales, is the entrance of the pit.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Entrance 2 by 1.2 metres that gives way to a single shaft of 35 metres of depth with a widening on the N side. 7 metres from the bottom, on the SE side, there is a small lateral pit that descends to -36.5 metres, which is also reached by following the base of the main shaft.

Storia

Around 1968, a team from the short-lived SIRE of the UEC de Sant Boi de Llobregat, informed by acquaintances with family at Can Valielles de Busa, explored the cavity for the first time, assigning it 40 metres of depth and naming it Avenc del Roure. In 1972 a member of the SIE-CEA tried to locate it without success and it was not until 8 October 1978 that a group from the same SIE and Oleguer Escolà (ERE) found it again. During the visit it was possible to find out the name the pit has in the area.
