Morfologia

Rust-coloured limestones of the Berriasian.

Idrologia

The entrance sump, a major one, measures 260 metres for -17 metres; it is the longest in the department. a second sump of 70 metres, of the same depth, is passed a little further on; then galleries and a sump S 3 lead to a fourth sump dived to -40 metres. With 556 metres of flooded galleries, this cave is an exception in the Aude.

Progressione

The entrance sump was dived for 20 metres (-10) by Vernette and Charpentier in 1971. This sump was passed in 1987 by D. Moulin, Y. Springer and J. Salcedo.
