Caratteristiche

Località

From Monistrol de Calders we will set out along a street heading S that will take us to the horts de can Sola and to the farmhouse of the same name. We will continue along a track that runs parallel to the torrent de l'Om; when we find the first tributary on the left we will turn off onto the track that follows this valley, and within a few metres and beside the torrent we will find the large rock shelter.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The rock shelter has maximum dimensions of 74 metres in width by 12 metres in depth and an irregular height that reaches 10 metres at the highest points. The remains of a small dry-stone construction can be seen, as well as morphological details of erosion.

Idrologia

The torrent de l'Om has been excavating the softer and more soluble stratum of this Conglomerate mass. It can be seen that the torrent's rises still reach one side of the rock shelter.

Storia

Known since remote times, although without references in the speleological bibliography. Members of the EC Barcelonès and GE Badalona visited it in January 2018 while carrying out the cataloguing work.
