Località

From km 8 of the BV-1031 road, between Igualada and els Prats de Rei, follow a track that follows the line of wind turbines. Just before reaching the last one, follow the track on the left until reaching cal Perdiu; in total 1.8 km of track. From here follow the track for a few metres to the N end of the first bend, where a path sets off through the woods, with some cairns that will help us follow it until, after 250 metres, it brings us to the W end of the rock shelter.

Morfologia

Rock shelter 32 metres wide, 14 metres deep and with an average height of just over 1 metre. The floor consists mostly of sand, with some blocks in the E sector.

Concrezioni

Some incipient stalactites hang from the ceiling.

Storia

Known since time immemorial. It owes its name to the fact that it served as a hiding place for the bandits Marimon and Casulleres, leaders of a band of Carlist outlaws.
