Caratteristiche

Località

Shelter located near the Roques de la Corbera (Tavertet).

From km 6.73 of the BV-5207 road, where the track begins (closed with a padlock) that leads to the Noguer, we will take a path that starts about 30 m before, which runs level, parallel to the road. After a little more than 100 m the path gains height and we soon reach the balma de la Corbera Vella.

From this shelter we will continue to the left and after about a hundred metres we will find a gully that with a steep climb will take us to the upper part of the cliff. We will continue in a NE direction, with the cliff always on our right, until we reach a flat area. On our right we will find a ledge along which we must descend. Shortly after we will turn 180° and in about a hundred metres we will reach the balma del Castell de la Fossa.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The only access point is in the N sector, where we find a wall 6 m long, 3 metres high and 1 m thick that preserves two loophole windows and two sockets at the top. It is the widest part of the shelter. If we continue in a S direction for 16 metres, along the part closest to the cliff we can descend by a ramp, but if we do so along the inner part, we find a 4-metre step.

The shelter continues getting narrower and lower, until at the end there is a fairly exposed section. At the end we find some large blocks and a short gallery known as the cau de la Guilla.

Progressione

The fairly exposed section can be overcome with the help of a cable installed for that purpose.
