Descrizione

Morfologia

It is a long shelter 50 metres long and shallow (8 metres), but with an average height of between one and two metres. It descends from east to west down to the waterfall of the torrent. On the east side there are galleries that go further in and one with two levels.

Idrologia

It descends from east to west down to the waterfall of the torrent.

Progressione

To reach it, we must first pass through the balma dels Falciots, follow from the foot of the shelter, without losing height, in a westerly direction along a slope with box trees and holm oaks until we find a rocky spur that we must climb over right in front of it, beside the cliff, passing right under the rock. Once this step is overcome we will follow the same slope as before but after a few metres we will go up a small step among holm oak and box groves, climbing a height difference of approximately twenty metres in a north-westerly direction. There is also the option of continuing along the previous slope without climbing and entering a torrent full of thin, long box trees up to the very wall of the torrent's waterfall and climbing up the east side above the waterfall.

Altri dettagli

At this point, we observe in the conglomerate that there is a muddier stratum that easily releases the pebbles and erodes the ground very easily, with some sandstone stratum.
