Caratteristiche

Località

To get there we will start from the hostal del Vent, located on the LV-4241 road from Solsona to Coll de Jou, where we will leave the vehicle. We will continue along the path heading east, we will find a cattle fence that we will pass through a side gate, taking care to close it again. We will continue along the path, observing on our right the rasa de Torrenteller, but a little further on, at a col where the path makes a very sharp bend with a fairly steep descent, on the left-hand side we will see the large hollow of Vilamala.

The channel below us is that of the Prior, which can be descended via the wooded path that starts at this point, passing below the so-called balma Roja, and a wall about 20 metres high. Continuing along the main path we would reach the house of Capdevila, currently in ruins, but at the next col we will leave this path, which descends in a N direction, and we will follow a path made by pine loggers, which passes along the ridge, heading east. About a hundred metres or so before this path ends, we will leave it, and on the right we will pass along a sloping ridge in the direction of a large overhanging rock that can be seen in the same direction, above the rasa de Torrenteller called “la Trona”. We will be able to make out a small trail that will take us to la Trona; about 10 metres before reaching it, we will be able to descend through the channel on the left, down the middle, among kermes oaks, boxwoods, holm oaks and pines that will gradually block our way.

At the end of the channel, we will find a small, half-abandoned trail that crosses the whole slope without losing much elevation. We will continue westwards, passing below la Trona, we will cross a small torrent and further on, about 5 metres above us, we will see the large wall of more than 20 metres where the balma de la Corrua is located. We will continue westwards and in about 10 minutes we will reach the Balma de la Quesis, after crossing a small torrent and passing beside a magnificent centuries-old oak about 2 metres in diameter.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A 7-metre-deep rock shelter in Lladurs. It is oriented to the S, but it is twice as long as that of la Corrua, divided into two very clearly distinct parts. The western side has suffered a major collapse of the ceiling, leaving the conglomerate rock scattered in many fragments on the ground, just as it was left at the time. On the eastern side, the ceiling is much safer, and on the ground we will find some small walls half a metre high, like a dwelling.

Idrologia

A little further towards the eastern side, there is a small drip spring in a hole in the wall itself.

Altri dettagli

On the eastern side, the ceiling is much safer, and on the ground we will find some small walls half a metre high, like a dwelling, but recently it was used as a pen for the goat herds that grazed along these cliffs. There is also half a metal drum that some local neighbour uses to make oil from juniper resin.

Storia

Known since time immemorial by the people of the area. It was explored and surveyed on 10 April 1998 by S. Codina, M. Cardona and F. Garriga (CE Solsonès).
