Località

On the road from Lekunberri to Uitzi, at km 2.7, a track branches off to the right towards the Ermita de Santa Engracia. Shortly after entering this track and once past an iron gate, about 100 metres from the road, another track branches off to the right towards the Uitzi mines. Going up this new track, at its end we come to some ruins that served as lodging for the miners. From these ruins we continue about 60 metres in a Northerly direction and find the mine. From there we advance about 10 metres in a Northerly direction to turn East and climb about 20 metres where, between some vertical slabs, the entrance appears.

Descrizione

Morfologia

The gallery appears to be formed by blocks becoming wedged in the meander. Going back up this meander, one passes between a block to reach the base of a chimney that gave rise to the meander, which, downstream, becomes so narrow that it is impassable.

Progressione

We descend a 25-metre tube that connects laterally with another 8-metre one to reach what could be the upper part of a meander; at 4 metres, from the gallery we pass through a narrow window to come upon a meander.
