Località

Right in the middle of the Torrent de la Vinya Gran, 40 metres before it joins the Torrent de la Coma de Bou and later flows into the Riera de Nespres.

To get there, go from Mura towards Rocafort and 500 metres before the Rocafort bridge you find the Torrent de la Coma de Bou, which flows into the Riera de Nespres; you must go up this torrent until, on the left, it meets the Torrent de la Vinya Gran (on the ICC they call it Torrent de la Vinyeta), where 40 metres from the fork the pit is found in the middle of the torrent and very close to the boundary with the municipality of Rocafort.

Descrizione

Morfologia

A 3 metre shaft leads to a narrow passage that takes us to a gallery 5 metres long that leads to a second small pit of 2.5 metres, easy to descend thanks to a large wedged block. The lower gallery, 7 metres long, has a very marked and eroded channel right in the middle that descends towards the N to a small pit of 1.5 metres, very narrow.

Absorbing cavity structured on a joint, with some intercalations of sandstones that show clear, very marked erosion forms.

Idrologia

The small pit of 1.5 metres, very narrow, is where the water that circulates through the cavity during the rainy season is lost. The cavity drains the waters of the Torrent de la Vinya Gran.

Storia

Discovered by chance by Josep Freixa, a member of GES – CM Terrassa, during a morning excursion in search of mushrooms, carrying out a partial exploration that same day. He alerted his colleagues from GES and SIS who carried out the first complete exploration and survey on 5 April 1986.
