Caratteristiche

Località

From Ulldemolins we head to the Santa Magdalena recreation area; from there we follow the GR-171 uphill past the Pi de la Carabasseta and down to the Toll de l'Ou. We continue along the GR but leave it a few metres above the ravine. An obvious path heads in the same direction as the torrent, but above it. We go up this path amid profuse vegetation. We climb until we join the PR, follow it for a few minutes until shortly after the junction leading to the cova de l'Os, we find another that descends to the right. We leave the main path and go down. This new path descends and sits at the base of the rock walls. We always advance beside the wall, skirting even some overhanging sections. We descend close to the rock, on the left, and with abundant vegetation, on the right. After a few minutes of descending we reach the Llibreria.

Another access path starts from the Morera de Montsant; it is a long itinerary, taking the long-distance trail (GR-171) that passes through the Grau de l'Agnet, Roca Falconera, climbs to the Serra Major and continues towards the Mola. Well before reaching this last relief, a short-distance trail (PR C-14) branches off to the left, doubling back to reach the Comellar de la Cova de l'Os and continue along the left of the cingle de la Punta de la Junça. When leaving the wildest area of the ravine, the path makes a steep descent followed by a small slope also downhill. At this point, on the right and not far from the path, are this set of fissures, which despite everything are difficult to see.

Descrizione

Morfologia

Quite a spectacular set of fissures, formed by five parallel fractures running S – N and with respective openings to the outside, which have been crossed and joined at their ends by another orthogonal one of greater vertical development that at its upper part opens to the outside in the form of a pit. The set has a 270-metre route.

Altri dettagli

These are large crevices that, seen from afar, with enough perspective, look like a handful of books arranged vertically, as if it were a bookcase.

Storia

A cavity that had remained unpublished in speleological catalogues until it was explored in early 1997 by members of the AAEET de Valls during the search for another neighbouring cavity; they named it avenc de la Junça, a name corresponding to the toponym of the area, although this specific place is more popularly known as La Llibreria.
