Aven du Fraissinel

This aven presents a network composed of pits, chambers, joints and narrow meanders. The cavity includes several sectors, among them the 1992 network and the Brun network. Other passages give access to pits, galleries and meanders, some of which remain narrow or impenetrable.

From the entrance pit, progression leads to the "Emmurés" chamber, then to an 8 m pit and a chamber followed by a gallery leading toward the bottom. The "Statuette" passage, resulting from a dig, allows one to reach a 10 m pit and the "Gros Palier" sector. From this ledge, a narrow joint leads to the low point of the cavity, located at -86 m, after crossing a 5 m step. Progression can be delicate because of the narrow passages, the pits and the successive steps.

The cavity presents several possibilities of continuation, notably at the bottom of the network, where an impenetrable meander has been identified. Annex sectors, including the Brun pits, also offer extensions requiring digging work.
