Aven du Barri

The entrance opening is of fine dimensions: 4 m in diameter. The access shaft (12 m) brings us onto a scree slope littered with numerous bones. Through a low gallery, one reaches the top of the P 18 (to be re-rigged on jumar).

At the bottom, one finds oneself in a large corridor with a clay floor. On one side (to the north), after passing a wet crawl, one can ascend a short network (level - 26 m). On the other side (to the west), a short ascent in the corridor leads into a small descending network. Then the network, still of small dimensions, ascends to a pretty little chamber.

After a narrowing, one emerges into the grande diaclase (north-south direction), of fine dimensions: 60 metres long, 10 to 15 metres high, 6 to 10 metres wide. On the right of this diaclase a small muddy corridor leads off to the lowest point of the cavity (level - 44 m).

The grande diaclase est is decorated with speleothems.

One then arrives at the bathtub: in the rainy season, the passage sumps.
