Descrizione
Morfologia
The small entrance gives access to a shaft barely 0.5 metre wide and 2 metres deep. This leads to a first chamber (3 m x 1.5 m) in which one can stand upright only directly beneath the shaft. An opening on the South side communicates directly with a second chamber. This is a sort of corridor 6 metres long, 1 metre wide and 2 metres high. Its western end slopes steeply down to reach the third and last chamber 4 metres lower. It consists of a square space 2 metres on a side, ending in a corridor 6 metres long.
Storia
Several Bronze Age vases were found inside the cavity. They were used to collect water under a natural strainer[ref]Guillaume CHARDIN -- CDS83, Fichier des cavités du Var > "Olivières" (numéro 2103090) : http://www.fichiertopo.fr/display.php?details=1&indexid=326[/ref].
