Morfologia
In a doline, a powerful collapse about 10 m in diameter and height opens the entrance of the aven des Cats. The entrance of the aven is a shaft of about 15 m. At the bottom, the cavity continues into a fault. After a step, an ascending series was observed. a large chamber of about 25 × 15 m follows a downclimb through blocks and scree dotted with small shafts. One then reaches a chamber somewhat larger than the previous one, about 25 × 20 m. a terminal fault allows crawling for about 10 m to observe a choke, currently the lowest point of the cavity.
Progressione
At the bottom of the entrance shaft, the fault has 2 parallel routes: a lower one by ramping and an upper one with a small climb, a small ledge and a diaclase; the choice fell on the lower one by ramping, which is faster. After a step, an ascending series was observed: a large 3 m boulder to climb, but treacherous. a downclimb through blocks and scree, dotted with small shafts (or direct with a rope but only one spit, look for a natural double), leads to a large chamber of about 25 × 15 m at the bottom of which an obvious series opens onto a freshly bolted step, to be rigged with a rope. One reaches a chamber somewhat larger than the previous one (about 25 × 20 m) at the bottom of which an obvious freshly bolted series descends with a rope under blocks to arrive in a terminal fault.
